Cell phones are playing a major part in lives. We use our cell phones to help aid in everyday tasks. My cell phone mainly consists of apps that are financially focused, especially ones that will allow you to make extra money. I have tried numerous apps, and I have summarized my top 3.
1. Ibotta
Ibotta is an app that allows you to make money on items that you probably already purchase for your household. You can shop at most stores that you buy your grocery and household items. They are continually adding new stores to their app to make it convenient for you to earn money at your favorite places. On top of earning money for items that you are purchasing, you can earn extra money with their bonus structures. Each month there is a featured bonus, and if you complete the bonus more money is earned and you can unlock another bonus. New members can earn a $10 welcome bonus. 2. Shopkick
Shopkick allows you to earn points toward gift cards by walking into to various retail stores. Other ways to earn points is to scan items while at the supported Shopkick stores, and to look for bonus stars when you are not even in a store. Even though there is no monetary reward, the gift cards to places such as Target, Best Buy, Old Navy, and more have come in handy. I typically redeem for smaller gift card amounts. 3. Jingit
Jingit combines the best features from Ibotta and Shopkick. Like Ibotta, you earn cash from buying items that are from the current advertisers. Like Shopkick, you scan items while in the store and answer a short survey. However, unlike Shopkick, upon finishing the survey, money is deposited to your account. You can actually earn a little chump change without buying anything from the store. The other way you can earn money is by watching ads online and on your phone.
The apps I have listed above can also be a good tool for your teenagers to start earning money and get them out of your pockets!
