How To Make Extra Money On Amazon Mechanical Turk
3 easy ways to make extra money online with Amazon Mechanical Turk
Amazon Mechanical Turk is an opportunity for you to make extra money from home. Mechanical Turk is a marketplace to complete HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks). These tasks usually take less than 30 minutes, and money is deposited into your account after the requester has approved your work. Don’t be discouraged from the menial amount of pay per task, as this can add up quickly and become extra spending money. There are over 200,000 tasks to choose from. You can use your Amazon account, if you have one, to get started. However, you have to be at least 18 years old to sign up. There is an approval process, and it takes about two days before you will hear back on whether you have been approved to work.
Since I’ve been doing some of the tasks, below are some that you should try out.
- Keyword-these tasks involve doing a Google search on keywords and returning results. Crowdsource has a decent payout (for what you will see), and their tasks take about 15 mins.
- Easy-this will bring up an assortment of tasks and they are typically surveys or short tasks that don’t take more than 5 mins.
- Data Entry-about three or so companies will appear on with this search. p9r has scanned information that you need to type, most of the time their payout is low, however, some days you might can get lucky and knock out quite a bit of them in a short amount of time. Jon Brelig’s tasks are mainly transcribing information from a receipt. Some receipts can be tricky, but for the most part are very easy. I’ve even had my 10 year old niece complete these tasks, and she seemed to enjoy it.
Here are two groups you should check out that focus on finding the best HITs for your time. Happy Turking!
