Put your money where your mouth is! This app definitely lives up to the saying. GymPact (also known as Pact) pays you for achieving your workout and eating goals. The way it works is that you make a weekly “Pact” to exercise or eat healthier. The caveat is that you have to set how much YOU will pay if you do not achieve the goal.

There are three different types of pacts you can make: gym pact, veggie pact, and a food logging pact. You can choose one or up to all three. The gym pact syncs with Fitbit, MapMyFitness, Moves, and RunKeeper. A workout pact consists of any gym, bike, or run that is over 30 minutes. Walking over 10,000 steps a day is also considered a valid workout.  To complete a veggie pact, you take a picture of the fruit and/or vegetable you eat during the week. The GymPact community will verify the food. The last type of pact is food tracking. Track your calories with the MyFitnessPal app and sync it with GymPact.

Pact has users worldwide, and uses GPS to verify your activities that you log into the app. Rewards are based on the number of days committed and completed in your pact. If you meet your goal, you get a cash reward for each day committed. The payments come from members that did not complete their goals. In general, rewards are between $0.30 and $5 per week.
